Dave B's News Archive 2009
The look and sound of the king and more ……!
November 3rd 2009
Hello Cats and Kittens long time no write well 6 months to be precise. Well, what can I say as this year draws to an end other than it has been the busiest year ever on the gig front and considering the financial climate at the moment we are all very pleased here at Dave B HQ.
It has been such a rewarding year meeting people from all over the UK who ask Dave B to return to their venues on a regular basis. Already 2010 is taking shape and New Years Eve is provisionally booked for said year, how's that for forward planning?
You can now catch up with Dave B using a more up to date method ie facebook, just punch in Dave B Rockin Years in the search page and you will be directed to the page of Dave B where you can ask to be a friend and view photos, videos and up to date statements from Dave B on his status bar as well as live chat one to one.
In January 2010 on the weekend of 7th, 8th, 9th 10th Dave B can be seen at the Norbreck Castle Hotel in Blackpool in the Annual Walk a Golden Mile in My Shoes competition now known as the Elvis tribute Artist [ETA] European Championships. He is in the main contest as well as the gospel competition and urges any fan of the KING to attend this event as some of the best in the world enter this great competition. To find out more details on tickets and accommodation for this event go to www.elviscontest.co.uk.
If there are any mad Shaky fans out there Dave B has now added some of Shaky's songs to his repotoire and is off to see the man himself at the O2 Acadamy Islington, London on December 8th 2009 so see you there for a rockin good night. There are plans ahead to record the 2nd Dave B album in the new year and it is undecided as to whether to do an Elvis album and if so should it be a rockin one, a ballad album or a mixture of the 2? Or do we do a various artists type album. If you have some ideas let us know what you would like either via the guestbook on this site or facebook or my myspace at www.myspace.com/davebrockin.
Thanks to all of you who regulary attend my gigs especially in the Eastbourne area. Some of you are totally insane and I mean that as a compliment as you all just love a rockin good time when you attend a gig. Also the website will see a few changes over the coming weeks and months as it has basically remained in the same vein for 5 years now and needs a bit of a facelift [don't we all dear] lol [that's laugh out loud to anyone over 50].
Well, may we all here at Dave B HQ wish you a merry Christmas and happy new year for 2010 and hope to see you at a gig very soon, do come up and say hi and say the website told you to.
Keep rockin dudes !!
Regards Dave B.

Hi once again
Hope your 2009 has got off to a good start? Well its been a busy time hear at Dave B HQ, despite the recession it’s a very busy year ahead. The gig list has never looked so full and it seems venues have decided that the only way to get punters through the door is to put on live music.
Dave B is venturing all over the UK again this year with trips to London, Leicester, Hexham Northumberland, Tadcaster North Yorkshire among others.
Dave B has also been invited to the Adur Music and Arts Festival on June 7 th at the Fly-Inn Bar and Restaurant, Shoreham Airport. This is a month long festival with events at various venues.
Tickets for the Dave B gig are £6 on the door or in advance by telephoning Tom Maryn on 01273 452300. Check out the gig guide and these websites for more info www.adurfestival.com and www.shorehamairport.co.uk
Dave's cd First Take is selling very well at gigs and at £7 a throw its worth it to hear the 14 tracks of solid gold rock n roll/rockabilly.
Dave B is now doing a few midweek gigs on the South Coast. These are in various hotels and more dates will be added to the gig guide very soon.
I would like to say hi to the Welsh crowd and the Doncaster Mob who I met at the Hadleigh Hotel in February you are all totally mad but great fun and I hope to see you all again one day soon.
A special mention has to go to the nutters at Franklands Village Social Club in Haywards Heath,
thank you for your continued support it means a lot and I look forward to seeing you again in July.
Dave B is planning on some changes to his repetoire over the coming months but keeping that same rockin feel. The Elvis set has had a few additions and although when you plan these things you think it may be a good idea its not till you get the great feedback from your good selves that you realise its worked.
Talking of feedback please, please, please let us know what you think of everything Dave B Rockin ie the show, website, cds, clothing etc by signing the the guestbook it really means a lot and they are read in detail.
Till next time take care of yourselves and each other
(in your best Jerry Springer show voice chant) "Dave B, Dave B, Dave B, Dave B "
Keep on rockin !!
